The original from which this instrument was copied is
believed to have been the personal guitar of Catherine
Sor, daughter of the revered Spanish guitarist, Fernando
Sor.
The instrument has a sweet, expressive tone not unlike
the typical Spanish instruments of the time. Of the many
excellent instruments of the early 19th
Century, Luis Panormos Spanish style, fan braced
model
is the most like modern Spanish instruments in tone.
