This is
an excellent example of the early Viennese School of
guitar building. J.A Staufer was the son of J.G. Staufer
and was known to build better guitars than his father
but the elder Staufer excellent in violins.

This
guitar has a crisp, bright and loud voice which
can be a little unruly if pushed too hard. It
would excel in a chamber group of in front of
the orchestra with Giuliani’s Concerto for Terz
Guitar.
